International Workshop on Intelligent Storage Technology (IST06)

(PDF download)

Introduction and Topics

The amount of data in many aspects such as scientific computing and E-Business keeps on exploding. Especially in lots of scientific computing applications, higher precision, short completion time and efficient result analysis rely on the capacity, performance and intelligence of the storage system. Physical storage devices and controlling components have now been separated from traditional computing systems and become a self-organizing, intelligent storage sub-system. Specific topics of interest include (but are not limited):

• Expressive storage interface • High performance storage devices
• Storage security
• Object-Based storage
• Storage reliability
• Real time scheduling
• Data distribution
• Storage Virtualization
• Layered storage • Disaster Recovery
• Storage QoS • Storage Architecture and design
• Storage modeling and simulation • Application of mass storage system
Paper Submission
The submitted paper must be camera-ready and formatted according to the rules of LNCS (for formatting information see Information for LNCS Authors). Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper. PostScript and source versions of your paper must be electronically submitted directly to the IST Workshop through the paper submission system at http://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2006/papers/upload.php. While submitting please don't forget to choose the workshop (last field): "Intelligent Storage Technology -IST06".
Please, note that papers must not exceed eight pages in length, when typeset using the LNCS format. A paper without figures can be around 4500 words maximally.
